Hey guys,

Keen followers of the Twitter accounts of the Mojang team may have seen a post today from @jeb_ stating that Minecraft will probably update to version 1.1 tomorrow (which will be the 12th of Jan). The ops will be working hard to get the server ready for 1.1 as soon as the relevant plugins are up to date but in order to keep playing on the Minecraft Addicts server in the meantime, please be sure NOT to click on the Update button when prompted.

If you do accidentally click on Update when prompted and receive an Outdated Server error when you try and connect, please follow the instructions on how to rollback to version 1.0 in the Technical Support section (we'll get this post put up as soon as Minecraft actually updates )

tl;dr:
Minecraft updates to 1.1 tomorrow, don't click on the Update button if you want to be able to connect to the Minecraft Addicts server!

We done goofed alright! In haste for the website update i had been preparing for i seemed to have missed a few lines of code here and there but i have gotten them worked out now.

Yea so facebook widget was placed wrong so we had to put a new one up. sorry guys you will need to re-like minecraft addicts on facebook.

The Team has been really busy working on many new ways to have fun on the server. One of them is the new Secrets at spawn. Across the land of spawn we have made many secrets.

We are making a contest to see who can find and solve all of them. Please join us for a difficult and challenging hunt for all the secrets.

How to win:

First step - Find the secret!
Second step - Find the sign with the creator's name on it.

How to prove that you found them:
- Take a screenshot of the sign that has the staff member's name on it
- Post this on the "Secrets" forum, in your own thread
- Keep replying to your own thread with more secrets
- We will then let you know if you got it right

First one to get all the secrets will win a grand prize. The winner will be announced once we feel that all secrets have been completed.

You will be removed from the contest:
- If you post or talk about the locations or the solutions of the secrets to others
- If any hacking or glitching is used to find the secrets
