Here is a brief set of guidelines for how to claim land in the Build world of Minecraft Addicts. Once approved, your land will be fully grief protected and you will also be able to add or remove other users to your claim.
Step 1: Click here to go to the World Map
Step 2: Click Land Claims in the top left corner of the map and check the "Land Claims" box as shown in the image below. This will show you every plot on the map Claimed(Red) and Unclaimed(Green)
Step 3: Zoom in, move around and find a plot of land you like the look of. Once you do, click the plot to bring up some information about it. For this example, I'll choose S22, E28. For reference, the claim sizes are:
Jumbo Square - 413 x 413 blocks, This size is reserved for large well planned projects! Not for new users.
Medium Square - 275 x 275 blocks, This size is best only if you have a large project in mind.
Rectangle - 275 x 137 blocks, This size is great for a first claim.
Small Square - 137 x 137 blocks, This size is also good for a first claim.
Step 4: Find the area that your plot of land is in, for example S22, E28 as shown in the image below:
Step 5: Now that you have chosen a plot you need to register on the forums (make sure to do the email confirmation step or you won't be able to post).
Step 6: Head to the Build - Land Claims section of the forums.
Step 7: Once you are in the correct forum section, click on the Create new thread button (the title doesn't have to be anything in particular)
Step 8: In your post simply answer the following 3 questions:
1: What plot do you want?
2: What is your Minecraft username?
3: What are you going to build?
For example:
1: What plot do you want? S22, E28
2: What is your Minecraft username? Yennage
3: What are you going to build? I'm planning on constructing an array of underwater tunnels leading to a central hub with retro designs inspired by Bioshock.
Step 9: Once you see a reply to your post from one of the staff saying it's approved you'll be able to start building.
