We run Minecraft Version 1.12.2
Please take a moment and read over the rules for playing on the Minecraft Addicts server.

We have created a few simple rules to follow so we can keep our world enjoyable for everyone. The idea is to keep it as open as possible so society and our economy can form themselves. Players who break any of the rules will be dealt with accordingly.

If a ban is issued, the player will always have the option to dispute their story in the Plead Your Case forum.

Global Rules - These apply to all worlds:
- Be respectful to other players and staff: Insults, profanity, trolling and racism will be met with zero tolerance.
- Use chat responsibly: Spamming or excessive use of ALL CAPS will get you muted.
- Use common sense: Lewd or profane skins or builds are not permitted, use good judgement.
- No hacks, mods or glitches: Using any kind of client hack or exploiting glitches (e.g item duping) will result in a ban. See this page for our list of officially approved/recommended client mods; if in doubt, ask a member of staff before using a mod.
- No X-Raying: Using any kind of x-ray hack or texture pack will result in a ban.
- Don't advertise: Advertising other servers will result in a ban.
- Two wrongs don't make a right: If you have an issue with another player, please let a member of staff know or post in the report section of the forums.
- No lag machines: Constantly running redstone devices or other builds/systems found to be causing significant lag will be removed without warning.

Peaceful Rules - These apply to the Build and Historic worlds:
- These are not PvP worlds: Killing a player with lava, magma blocks etc. will not be tolerated.
- No griefing: Griefing (destroying blocks you did not place) will not be tolerated; if you didn't place it, don't break it.
- No selling/renting land: We give claims out for free for a reason, don't try to charge other users to build on your claim.
- No AFK farming: Automated farms (that can harvest resources while a player is AFK) are not permitted and will be removed without warning.
- Keep other automated farms small: Any farming system (e.g using redstone devices/water to harvest) found to be causing lag will be removed without warning; keep them small scale.
- No large scale mob farms: Please keep mob farms at 20 mobs or less per claim, farms found to exceed this will be corrected without warning.
- Don't spam flint and steel: You won't be able to use flint and steel to light fires but each attempt is logged.
- Be communicative: Land without any significant builds will be subject to reclaim after a period of 2-3 months, to avoid any mishaps, please drop a post in the forums if you're planning a lengthy period of inactivity and don't want your project to be disrupted.

PvP Rules - These apply to the War and Hell worlds:
- No spawn camping: Camping a faction home and constantly killing players as they spawn in is against the rules. A player should always have the chance to /warp away after they spawn at their /f home (flooding factions homes with lava etc. is also against the rules).
- No mob farms/kill boxes: A mob farm (with or without a spawner) should not feature water (flowing or still), redstone devices, kill boxes (or areas where a player can kill mobs without being harmed) or funnelling of mobs with blocks. There should also be no more than 20 mobs in the area at any one time and systems that allow you to collect mobs without getting harmed are also against the rules.
- No AFK farming: Automated farms (that can harvest resources while a player is AFK) are not permitted and will be removed without warning.
- Keep other automated farms small: Any farming system (e.g using redstone devices/water to harvest) found to be causing lag will be removed without warning; keep them small scale.
- Builds in these worlds are not grief protected: If your faction base is destroyed and your items are taken it will not be investigated, even if you suspect someone in your own faction was responsible.
- Play fair: Combat logging is frowned upon, players found to be constantly doing this or spamming chat with relog messages as a result of it will be dealt with.
- No luring players: Attempts to bait players in other worlds to /tpa to you so you can kill them will not be tolerated.
- Keep faction chat separate: Please use /f chat modes to talk to your team rather than public chat.
- Keep calm: Due to the competitive nature of the world, tensions can run high, please do not accuse other players of hacking, cheating etc. in public chat. If you genuinely suspect a player is breaking our rules, please make a post, including evidence, in the Reports section of the forums.
- You won't always win: These worlds are of a competitive nature, if you are consistently losing and becoming frustrated, take a break rather than venting your anger in chat.

Survival Rules - These apply to the PvE and Nether worlds:
- These are not PvP worlds: Directly killing a player with lava etc. will not be tolerated.
- Builds in these worlds are not grief protected: If your build is destroyed or your items are taken it will not be investigated, if you would like grief protected land, please make a land claim in the Build world.
- No luring players: Attempts to bait players in other worlds to /tpa to you so you can take their items will not be tolerated.

Creative Rules - These apply to the Creative world:
- No griefing: Griefing (destroying blocks you did not place) will not be tolerated; if you didn't place it, don't break it.
- Respect your neighbours: Creative land is not divided up into claims, if you are planning a build, please clearly mark out the space it will take up and make sure you are not building in land another player has already marked out. Finally, use common sense and make sure your build won't interfere with anything nearby.
- Be sensible when marking out land: Be realistic with your land requirements, occupying huge amounts of space with a small build is not acceptable.
- No AFK farming: Automated farms (that can harvest resources while a player is AFK) are not permitted and will be removed without warning.
- Keep other automated farms small: Any farming system (e.g using redstone devices/water to harvest) found to be causing lag will be removed without warning; keep them small scale.

Forum Rules - These apply to the Forums:

- Be polite: Please do not flame other users.
- Keep it civil: Be respectful to other users and keep to the in-game chat rules on the forums.
- Choose your section responsibly: Spam and off-topic posts are perfectly fine but please keep them in the correct forum section.
- Avoid the big controversial online topics: Politics, religion and OS debates tend to end up with the same arguments no matter where you debate them, please try to avoid threads about these topics.
- No spoilers: Remember not all users will be at the same stage as you are in TV shows, movies or games. Please include "Spoiler Alert" tags in topics where they are being discussed.
- Try not to repeat questions/help requests: Before posting a thread with a question, please check the forums to make sure it hasn't been answered elsewhere first.

Teamspeak Rules - These apply to the Teamspeak Server:

- No spamming: Spamming teamspeak voice/text chat or otherwise causing annoyance to other users will not be tolerated.
- Use the different rooms: If you want to discuss a project with just a couple of friends rather than everyone in the community channel, please use one of the Project rooms.
- Recording: Please seek permission from the people you're recording if you intend to use the recording online.
